How does time-based booking work?
You book a block of time, not a service name. Pick 15, 30, 45, 60, or 120 minutes depending on what you need done. Your barber uses that time however serves you best. It means no rushed cuts and no guessing at the chair.
What do the different time slots include?
15 minutes covers a quick touch-up between full cuts. 30 minutes is the standard cut. 45 minutes is the full service, our most booked slot. The more time you book, the more detail you receive: 45 minutes is typically enough for a standard haircut plus a beard trim, or a highly detailed cut like a mohawk or anything needing extra shaping. 60 minutes is extended grooming, and 120 minutes is the Ideal Experience, the complete package. If you are unsure, book the 45 and your barber will guide you.
How much does a haircut cost?
Pricing is per barber and listed under each time slot on their booking page. As a reference, 15-minute slots start at $30 across the shop. Every price is shown before you book, so there are never surprises at the chair.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
We are appointment-only. No walk-ins, no waiting room, no hoping someone is free. That is the entire point: your time is reserved, your barber is ready, and you are in and out on schedule.
Why do you require a card on file to book?
Your card reserves your barber time the same way a hotel reserves your room. You are only charged if you miss your appointment without proper notice or cancel late. It is what lets us stay appointment-only without gaps in the day.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please reschedule or cancel at least 2 hours before your appointment. Inside 2 hours, or for a missed appointment, you may be charged a cancellation fee. Details are shown at checkout before you confirm.
What happens if I am running late?
Please tell us. Call or text as soon as you know you are behind, and we will do everything we can to still take care of you. There is a 10-minute grace period for full-service appointments. After 15 minutes without any word from you, we may have to fit you in based on availability. Communication is everything. Reach out early and we will take care of you.
What happens if my barber is running late?
Our promise: appointment only means on time. If we run more than 15 minutes behind, you get a $15 credit. We track it ourselves. You do not have to ask.
Which location should I book?
Grant Park (519 Memorial Drive SE, upstairs above Lush Nail Bar) is our original shop. Pittsburgh Yards (352 University Ave SW) is our second location with free parking right off I-75. Same standard, same booking system. Pick whichever is closer to your day.
Who should I book with for my first visit?
Honestly, it is a subjective choice, and you cannot go wrong. Every one of our barbers is precise, pristine, punctual, and professional. That is the shop standard. If you want to see their work first, visit their individual pages and check their Instagram portfolios to see whose cuts speak to you. For scheduling: Jon starts at 7 AM for early mornings, Kris cuts weeknights until 7 PM, and Carter holds down Sundays. Pick the schedule that fits your life.
Do you offer first-time client discounts?
Jon, Kris, and Carter each offer 15 percent off your first appointment with them. New clients only, and the discount is shown on their pages. After that, the standing offer is this: book your next cut before you leave and take $15 off it.
How do I know how much time to book?
Most clients land on 45 minutes. If you are getting a straightforward cut and you know exactly what you want, 30 is fine. If it has been a while, you want beard work too, or you are trying us for the first time, take the 45. When in doubt, book more time. An unhurried barber does better work.
Do you cut children hair?
Yes, we offer child cuts at select times. Check the booking page for availability. The same appointment-only standard applies.
Where do I park?
At Grant Park, we are in the Larkin Memorial Shopping Center at 519 Memorial Drive SE, Atlanta GA 30312, upstairs above Lush Nail Bar. Parking is free in the shopping center lot and on the street, but the cross streets right around the lot are tight, so get there early. Use the call box at the entrance and dial 217. At Pittsburgh Yards, we are not inside the main building. We are in the Container Courtyard on the back side of the building at 352 University Ave SW, Atlanta GA 30310, right adjacent to the BeltLine. Parking is free along the back side of the building near the courtyard.
Why appointment-only? What is wrong with walk-ins?
Nothing is wrong with walk-ins. They are just not for the person whose calendar runs their life. Walk-ins trade your time for the shop convenience. We built Ideal Barbers the other way around: you pick the time, we are ready when you arrive, and you get the same precision every visit. That is what your time is worth.
